PANJIM: The state government today filed a contempt petition against Karnataka before Supreme Court in Mhadei diversion matter.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant yesterday during his press conference had informed that the state government would a file a contempt petition with the court with proper photographic evidence on how Karnataka has diverted water.
“Contempt Petition has been filed in the Hon’ble Supreme Court today against Karnataka for illegal diversion of #Madhei water. We will continue to fight for our right,” CM tweeted
Sawant also had said that he has spoken to Javadekar and urged him not to give any permission to Karnataka till the matter is disposed of by the court.
