Panaji: Goa took another step towards becoming a leading hub for creative technology with the launch of CogniFilm and Comiqly, two AI powered storytelling platforms developed by TAWAI STUDIO. The platforms were unveiled by IT, Electronics and Communications Minister Rohan A. Khaunte, highlighting the state’s growing focus on startups, artificial intelligence and digital creativity.
Designed for filmmakers, comic artists, animators and digital creators, the platforms aim to simplify the creation, publishing and global distribution of AI generated content. Their launch reflects Goa’s expanding ecosystem where technology, entrepreneurship and artistic expression are increasingly coming together.
Speaking at the launch, Khaunte said Goa has always been a land of creativity and storytelling, and the government is now building on that legacy to establish the state as the Creative Capital of India. He noted that artificial intelligence is transforming filmmaking, animation and digital storytelling, and Goa is well positioned to lead this new wave of innovation by creating opportunities for creators to build globally relevant products.
CogniFilm is a web based micro OTT platform that allows creators to showcase AI generated films, short series and audio content to audiences worldwide. Comiqly, meanwhile, enables artists to create comics, cartoons and animated stories using AI assisted tools, making digital storytelling more accessible and efficient.
The launch also highlighted Goa’s contribution to the global creative technology space through TAWAI STUDIO co founder Ujwala Jadhav Nhivekar, a Goan entrepreneur whose work reflects the growing talent emerging from the state.
With the introduction of CogniFilm and Comiqly, Goa adds another milestone to its evolving startup landscape, reinforcing its ambition to become a destination where innovation, creativity and technology thrive together.
