NALGONDA: Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department officials seized 30 bottles of non-duty-paid liquor allegedly brought from Goa during a special task force (STF) operation near Cherughat on the Narketpalle-Nalgonda road.
The STF was conducting a route watch at Cherughat when it intercepted a car suspected of being used to transport liquor illegally from Goa. Officials seized 30 bottles containing a total of 41.95 litres of NDPL liquor.
A four-wheeler and a mobile phone were also seized, while Aithagone Kiran Kumar, 36, of Kotha Colony in Chennaram, Nalgonda, was arrested in connection with the case.
The STF team later handed over the seized liquor, vehicle and mobile phone, along with the arrested accused, to the Nalgonda Station House Officer for further action.
