ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have arrested one Siolim resident with Charas in a drug raid.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, based on reliable information Anjuna Police team led by PI Prashal N. Dessai conducted a narcotic raid on 31/01/2023 at Near Futsal ground, Siolim, in the evening, during which the accused person Vinod Shani Salgaonkar, age 54 yrs, R/o Vadi, Oxel, Siolim was found in possession of drugs Charas weighing 680 grams.
The seized drug is found to be worth rs. 3,41,000/- in the international market.
The accused person has been arrested under section 20(b)(ii)(b) of the NDPS Act and is presently in police custody.
The raiding team consisted of PSI Francisco Xavier, constables Rupesh Azgaonkar, Pravin Patil, Laxman Sawal Desai, Adarsh Nagekar and others.
Further investigation is in progress.
