CALANGUTE: Calangute Police arrested two Jammu and Kashmir residents with drugs worth ₹2.5 lakhs at Sinquerim.
According to police, they received information from sources that two persons will come to deliver the narcotic substance to their prospective customers at near Hotel Radisson at Sinquerim with Honda Activa Scooter bearing Reg. No. GA-11-C-7242.
Accordingly, the team successfully conducted a raid and found in their possession 20 grams of a psychotropic substance suspected to be MDMA and a narcotic substance suspected to be Charas weighing 225 grams, all worth of ₹ 2,50,000/-approximately.
Both the accused persons are identified to be 1) Waseem Ahmed Bhat, s/o Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir and Shakil Ahmed Mir, s/o Gulam Hassan Mir, Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir.
Case has booked under NDPS ACT
Both the accused person has been remanded to Police Custody, and further investigation is on.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI Dattaguru K Sawant and SDPO Porvorim under the overall guidance of SP North Nidhin Valsan, IPS.
