PANAJI: With Goa Medical College (GMC) has achieved a milestone by collecting 20,582 units of blood in 2023 making it the second-highest state in voluntary blood donation nationwide.
“Goa’s determined efforts to raise awareness about voluntary blood donation have achieved remarkable success, with Goa GMC collecting 20,582 units of blood in 2023,” said Health Minister Vishwajit Rane
He further informed that this milestone has made Goa the second-highest state in voluntary blood donation nationwide.
“By strengthening our initiatives, we have saved countless lives,” he added
Rane also said that he remains committed to building a stronger culture of blood donation to ensure no life is ever at risk due to a shortage of blood.
