PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today announced the new Department of Drinking Water (DDW), aiming to prioritize water supply.
CM Sawant was addressing the gathering after laying the foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Construction of 1000 cum sump with Pumping Arrangements.
“New Department of Drinking Water (DDW), aiming to prioritize water supply. The department will focus exclusively on water management, separate from PWD,” said Sawant
He further said that is the responsibility of WRD to supply water to the reservoir.
“If they fail, action will be taken against those responsible,” he added CM
He also said that Porvorim is now developing rapidly. The Porvorim flyover will be completed ahead of schedule.
“We are planning development for the next 25 years, and our road infrastructure is being built to last for the next 100 years. We are doing this work for the benefit of our people,” he added
