PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said government is Goa is moving beyond tourism to make the state a thriving hub for emerging industries that will highlight Goa on global map.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was addressing the gathering after inauguration of Vibrant Goa 2024 summit.
“We are moving beyond tourism sector to make Goa a thriving hub for emerging industries that will highlight Goa on global map; Goa aims to lead in adopting renewable energy; govt focused on policies that incentivise clean energy projects,” said Sawant
He further said that government is committed to taking ahead PM Modi’s vision.
“Today, we embark on creating a vibrant state for investment and a thriving hub for industries. Our government is focused on clean energy projects to make Goa a green energy state.” he said
He said that state government has set a goal to ensure 100 per cent renewable energy usage across all sectors by 2050.

Vibrant Goa Foundation Chairman Suresh Prabhu said that under PM Modi’s leadership, we can expect significant growth across all businesses. India is poised for automatic growth for businesses.
“Goa, in particular, offers immense business opportunities, being one of the fastest-growing states in India. I strongly recommend that businessmen consider Goa for investment and growth, alongside other promising states in India.” said Prabhu
Prabhu said that Amazing Goa Global Business 2024 summit will also display new technology, machine learning, Artificial intelligence and others as its highlight.
He said that usually every state is competing with each other to attract investment, creating healthy environment. “This summit is more effective as more efforts have been put in to involve local community,” Prabhu added.
The former union minister said that the summit is conveying a clear message that Goa does not want industries which are destroying nature but would welcome the investment that is adding to the vibrant culture of this state.
“Goa is a place sought after by everybody but we should not bring anybody and everything to the state,” he said.
