Panaji: The Department of Tourism has taken proactive measures by initiating the process of license renewal for the erection of temporary seasonal structures, beach shacks; deck beds/umbrellas/huts and others on identified beach stretches for the year 2024-2025 from July 19, 2024.
The successful shack allottees who were compliant with the terms and conditions of the shack policy will be notified by GEL (Goa Electronics Limited) intimating them of the procedure. The applicant is then, required to come with the final NOC, issued by the Department of Tourism for the tourist season 2023-2024 along with the necessary Demand Draft at RFC, GEL, Paryatan Bhavan, Patto Panaji and RFC, GEL, Mathany Saldhana Complex, Margao.
The application forms along with the tourism policy 2023-2026 governing the terms and conditions for the erection of temporary seasonal structures, beach shacks/deck beds/umbrellas/huts and other structures for the tourist season 2023-26 uploaded on the official website of Department of tourism www.goatourism.gov.in for information of the prospective shack applicants/general public.
