MARGAO: GOACAN had expressed concern about the Health & Sanitation issues at the Cutbona Jetty which are affecting the migrant workers and the local residents.
In a letter to the Deputy Collector & SDM Salcete, GOACAN had requested that an urgent meeting of all stakeholders be convened to take stock of the situation and put in place an Action Plan so as to control the spread of Vector-Borne Diseases and address the problem of lack of adequate toilet facilities for the workers at the Jetty.
In this regard, the Deputy Collector & SDM – II Salcete Ganesh K. Barve has convened a meeting at the Matanhy Saldanha Admin Complex, Margao on Wednesday.
