PANAJI: Porvorim independent MLA Rohan Khaunte today said that Goa’s image of safe destination is overshadowed by second wave mismanagement, high death rates, highest TPR and ghastly Dark hour deaths.
Khaunte also said that state government should provide financial support and relief to those whose livelihoods have been affected by curfew restrictions.
“Goa’s image of safe destination is overshadowed by 2nd Wave Mismanagement,high death rates, highest TPR & ghastly Dark Hour Deaths. Only Maximum Immunization & better management of 3rd Wave can restore the Safe Destination image,” said Khanute.
He further said that while extension of curfew is need of the hour, the state government should provide financial support and relief to those whose livelihoods have been affected by curfew restrictions.
“It’s in difficult times that people expect welfare oriented policies from Governments,” he added
Speaking on rising fuel prices, Khaunte said that Petrol has crossed Rs.100 in many states of the country and that Diesel prices also continue increasing leading to inflationary effects on prices of essential commodities. “Government should reduce fuel duties and bring relief to the people.,” he said.
