PANJIM: Reacting strongly to the story by goemkarponn.com, Goencho Awaz today demanded that the State government give the Police a free hand to uncover if any powerful politicians were involved in the drug nexus case.
The NGO has demanded an explanation from the Chief Minister about his alleged close association with such anti social elements who are a threat to the society.
“The busting of the rave party in Vagator and the subsequent arrest of those involved who were seen with highly influential people in the state including the beleaguered Chief Minister and other ministers goes to show the level to which the intelligence and security in the state has fallen.” said Captain Variato reacting to the story appeared on goemkarponn.com
He said, “The swift action with which the Goa Police have acted deserves praise. However, such drug peddlers meeting the Chief Minister and openly sharing the pictures in the social media goes on to indicate a deeper nexus than what the eye can see.”
Goencho Avaaz further demanded an explanation from the Chief Minister about his alleged close association with such anti social elements who are a threat to the society.
“What is intriguing is the fact that the common man cannot get any appointment with even MLAs, let alone the Chief Minister, but the Chief Minister accommodating such characters who are dangerous to the society raises eyebrows and warrants an investigation.” he said
