Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Thursday said that he plans a 30 bedded primary health centre at the Old GMC building at Ribandar.
Speaking to reporters after conducting a inspection of the old GMC building.
“We do not want to start this just for the sake of it. This will be taken seriously as it will cater to the villages of Divar, Old Goa and Chorao,” he said adding this can become a emergency facility of the local villages around.
He said the block that has been allotted is not in condition and lot of work required.
Panjim MLA Babubhai Monseratte seemed unsatisfied with the facility and demanded a main block requires to be rebuilt with all facilities.
“I am surprised to see the place as it is not enough to start a dispensary. The Building in bad condition. We need to see that needs of people of Ribandar should be fulfilled,” he said.
Babubhai said he will ask CM to come and do a inspection and allot funds.
“GSIDC or Smart City can take up the work not Health department as it will consume more time,” he said.
