PANAJI: The State government today announced to re-open the colleges and University from June 7, Monday; however the learning process will continue in digital mode.
In a circular issued today by the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) it is been said that since the Covid-19
situation has improved, the Government has decided to re-open all educational institutions under this Directorate.
As per the circular, the College/University Office staff will attend their respective offices from June 7.
While the teaching staff from the colleges will attend their respective institutions from June 8, for the Goa University teaching staff it is a day before that is June 7.
The DHE students will not be allowed to come to educational institutions for any teaching learning activities until further orders.
“The teaching-learning will take place only through digital mode,” it added.
DHE has clarified that the staff of the educational institutions deputed on Covid-19 duties will continue to do their duties until they are relieved in a phased manner by their respective authorities to join back their institutions.
The education institutions in the State have been shut since April 29 in view of State wide curfew, which was later extended and continued to remain in force till date.
The University has schedule the final year student examination from July 8; while the online exams will begin from June 21 for the programmes offered within its campus. However no decision has been taken with regards to courses offered by the affiliated colleges.
The Academic Year 2021-22 for class I to X and XI will commence from June 21 as per present schedule.
