MAPUSA: The Guirim Free Legal Aid Cell, in collaboration with the Fire Safety Department, successfully conducted a fire safety programme for the students of Keerti Vidyalaya Industrial Training Institute. The programme, led by cell members Jochele Correia, Saisha Satardekar, Srehya Kandolkar, and Dilivia Dias, aimed to educate students from various trades on the proper use of fire extinguishers and essential fire safety measures.
During the programme, students were informed about the relevant legal provisions related to fire safety, followed by a practical demonstration. The interactive session equipped students with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in case of a fire emergency.
The event was well-received by the students, who showed enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about fire safety. The cell aimed to promote awareness and equip the ITI students with essential knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergency situations, ultimately enhancing their employability and contributing to a safer workforce for the future. This life-saving knowledge and skill, ultimately contributes to a safer and more responsible community.
