Sanguem: A house break-in was reported at Villian in Sanguem after unknown persons allegedly broke into a locked residence and decamped with gold ornaments and cash.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by Manisha Naik, a resident of Villian, Sanguem. The incident occurred on March 10 between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm when the house was reportedly locked.
Unknown accused persons allegedly broke the lock of the main door to gain entry into the house and later opened a metal cupboard inside the residence.
The accused reportedly stole a gold bracelet weighing about 4 grams, four finger rings weighing around 8 grams, a gold pendant of about 1 gram, and a pair of earrings weighing approximately 2 grams, collectively valued at around ₹1.5 lakh. The accused also decamped with cash amounting to ₹15,000.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Kavita Rawat of Sanguem Police Station.
