PONDA: The locals in Ponda have urged the Ponda Muncipal Council to cover up dangerous roadside crater like chamber dug at roadside which is remained negelected since long time.
The locals said recently one person died after falling one such open chamber valve PWD at Bethora Junction.
In order to prevent such incident PMC need to take urgent action into matter before any untoward incident. It is on pathway to Ponda Market main road and pedestrian can easily fall. So need urgent action.
Chief Officer Yogiraj Gosavi when contacted said he has inspected the dangerous spot.He said it could prove dangerous for pedestrians. As water was choked the gutters were opened last rainy season,however need to cover up the crater with proper measures.
Chief Officer said said this work would be taken at earliest in premonsoon work and he would request PWD. He said he would also identfy the other dangerous spots complained by locals and take action to solve problem
