PANAJI: Paragliding equipment that was being used illegally at Keri-Pernem was confiscated by the Tourist Police.
Around 5:00 p.m., the tourist police conducted an operation at Keri Plateau and discovered Raju Gawandi of Talewada-Pernem paragliding there without authorization.
Along with a thorough report, the paragliding equipment was seized and will be forwarded to the tourism agency for any additional necessary action.
Following the tragic death of a 26-year-old Pune visitor and the paraglider pilot at Keri-Pernem on January 18, authorities have taken strong action to crack down on unlawful paragliding activity.
