PANAJI: India Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa today has issued an orange alert, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over North and South Goa. A yellow alert has been issued for the next two days.
“Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over North Goa and South Goa districts. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is very likely on October 12,” the IMD said.
For October 12 and 13, the IMD said heavy rainfall at isolated places is very likely over North Goa and South Goa districts.
According to the weather office, the State has received a rainfall of 5.5 inches of rainfall as against 2.9 inches, registering a departure of 90.8 percent from October 1 to 9
