PANAJI: The Congress’s willingness to introduce an inheritance tax in India reflects its tendency to loot the family of the head and his family after his death. This law recommends acquiring more than 50 per cent of the deceased’s assets in the state treasury.
BJP’s spokesperson Giriraj Pai Vernekar termed this act as Congress’ loot Zindagi Ke Saath Bhi, Zindagi Ke Baad Bhi. He was speaking at a press conference held at the party’s Panaji office.
He was accompanied by BJP spokesperson Adv. Yatish Nayak, BJP Yuva Morcha President Shri. Sameer Mandrekar, ZP member Mrs. Diksha Kanolkar.
Speaking on the pseudo-secularism of the Congress, Giriraj Pai Vernekar said that after the Neha Hiremath murder case in Karnataka, her father, who is a Congress corporate, said that it was a case of love jihad. However, the Congress chief minister is trying to protect the killer’s family by calling it a personal incident.
When BJP workers reached the spot after the man who played Hanuman Chalisa was beaten up, it was alleged that BJP was trying to disturb the peace. He cited the example of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans being raised in Congress-ruled states. After the explosion at Rameshwar Cafe in the Congress-ruled state, Hindus were targeted, which exposes the hypocrisy of the Congress, said Shri. Giriraj Pai Vernekar
Adv. Yatish Nayak said, the Congress’ manifesto shows the party’s casual approach. The manifesto uses a photo of Buffalo River in the USA, as well as a photo from Thailand to show development. Is the Congress under the illusion that the people are fools too, he asked. The Congress is talking about bringing development to the country.
But in Karnataka, deputy chief minister D. K. Shivakumar is saying there is no fund for development. In Himachal Pradesh, the government does not have the money to pay salaries to 15,000 government employees. Is this the development model of the Congress, he asked. The people will not fall prey to the fake promises of the Congress, people want a developed India. For this, voters will once again Shri. Narendra Modi, he claimed.
Sameer Mandrekar said, in Karnataka, a resolution has been taken to provide reservations to the Muslim community in the OBC category. The BJP is condemning this. Giving reservations based on religion is against the Constitution.
There are already a lot of communities among OBCs. He feared that if Muslims were included in it, injustice would be done to OBC youth. The BJP’s double-engine government has done many development works compared to the 10 years of the UPA. Voting for the BJP is like investing in development, he said.
