PANAJI: Aam Aadmi Party called for a Judicial Commission to investigate the job for cash scams, with a retired High Court judge leading the commission.
The party further stated that extension scams are closely tied to employment scams and called for a halt to all government hiring until the Judicial Commission is established and the investigation report is delivered to the government.
AAP President Amit Palekar told the media at Benaulim on Tuesday that a Judicial Commission investigation led by a retired High Court judge and supported by retired district court judges is essential to uncovering the truth about the cash-for-job scam.
He was flanked by party MLAs Venzy Viegas and Cruz Silva in addition to party leaders Francis and Gerson.
“Goan citizens now understand that Pooja Naik is only the beginning of the scandal. The ease with which Pooja had to visit the CM’s home and give bribes in exchange for jobs is concerning. Amit asserted that only a legal investigation could uncover the truth and hold the guilty accountable.
According to the AAP politician, top-level BJP leaders, ruling MLAs, and ministers are all reportedly complicit in the employment scam.
“At the request of the wife of a government official who just took his own life, the police have filed a case of abetment to commit suicide. We would like to state that if the government had not sold jobs, the complainant’s husband would not have taken his own life,” he continued.
Amit accused the government of attempting to use one individual as a scapegoat in the scam, claiming that AAP leaders are receiving information about the jobs for pay scheme. “Pooja Naik is only the beginning.” Pooja is referred to as the “queen of the job scam.”
However, the Empress who is complicit in the fraud must be exposed. He claimed that by leading Goan youth in a different direction, the entire BJP team is complicit in corruption.
