PANAJI: Keri-based government servant Shridhar Satarkar has been found dead in Kunkolim, Mardol.
He was reportedly linked to Pooja Naik’s money-for-job fraud case. The two wheeler found in possession of Shridhar was registered in name of Pooja Naik.
As per information, Shridhar was interrogated by police in Pooja Naik fake job case twice.
The Bicholim police said that Pooja Naik was arrested after a young man complained that she had stolen Rs 2 lakh from him in exchange for a position as a constable in the state police. Given that a cheating case has been filed against her, the Porvorim police are also likely to arrest her.
According to sources, the authorities have located almost fifty employment applications at her home. The majority of these applications were for positions in the Directorate of Agriculture, the Department of Transportation, the River Navigation Department (RND), and the PWD.
By providing Naik and others who had sent their resumes to her with money, the police are also likely to question individuals who were hired by the government.
The Bicholim police arrested Naik in connection with the government job recruitment scam, soon after she was released on conditional bail by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) at Ponda. She was handed the fresh remand order by the JMFC Bicholim.
