Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) in collaboration with Kala Academy Goa organized its 12th Children’s Tiatr Competition from March 10 to March 16, 2024, at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Kala Academy Goa. 10 children’s tiatr troupes participated in the competition.
‘Khol Khol Baim’ written, directed and presented by Marcos Gonsalves bagged first place in the competition. ‘Fuddem Panvl Mar’ written, directed and presented by Fr. Milagres Dias and ‘Tumchea Sangata Hanv Jiyetam’ written and directed by William Fernandes and presented by Drishti Entertainments Curchorem won the second and third places respectively.
In the Best Direction category, the first prize was won by Marcos Gonsalves, the second prize was won by Fr. Milagres Dias and the third prize was won by William Fernandes.
Similarly, in the Best Acting category, for Best Acting Male, the first prize was won by Russel Lawrence Mascarenhas, the second prize was won by Maicon Anthony Pereira and for Best Acting Female, the first prize was won by Velbe Angel Cardoso and the second prize was won by Danashree P. Naik. Best Comedian (Male) was awarded to Roneber A. Valles and Best Comedian (Female) was awarded to Nysa N. Monteiro.
In the Best Singing category, for Best Solo (Male), the first prize was bagged by Joshua Pereira and the second prize by Mikhail R. D’Costa. For Best Solo (Female), the first prize was won by Teresa Furtado while the second prize went to Rihana Gomes. In the Best Comedy Kantar (Male) category Ronav R. S. Talaulikar and in the Best Comedy Kantar (Female) category Naira Livia Fernandes were adjudged winners.
In the Best Duet category, Akansha Fernandes and Maicon Anthony Pereira won, in Best Duo category, Roneber E. Valles and Danstan Colaco won while in Best Trio category, Gabriella M. Dias, Mehaila Rodrigues and Shenaida Alves were adjudged winners. In Best Quartet category, Jania J. Pinto, Cayden D’Mello, Shauneen Azavedo and Roshmer C. Fernandes won and in Best Choral Song category Nyssa G. Fernandes, Jania J. Pinto, Meara A. Mascarenhas and Maysa C. Pinto were adjudged winners.
In Best Lyrics category, first prize was won by George Gonsalves and second prize was won by Austin S. Rodrigues. In Best Script category, first prize was awarded to Antonet De Sousa and second prize was awarded to William Fernandes.
In Best Stage Setting category Sam D’Souza won, in Best Light Effects category Gautam Gaude won, in Best Music (Live Band) category, Senon De Souza won, in Best Background Music Ushank Parab won, in Best Makeup category, Sandra Gonsalves won and in Best Costumes category, Cristina Esteves was awarded.
