Within a matter of hours after the expose, the CMO sent a Whatsapp message saying the Minister had tendered his resignation for a free and fair probe.
Of Course, there would be nothing free and fair, and there would be every attempt to tamper with the evidence. The probe, in no way, would be impartial till the BJP is in power.
It was clear from the fact that soon after the resignation, the Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant and the BJP State Unit President Sadanand Shet Tanavade tried to score brownie points against the Opposition.
The CM and Tanavade maintained that the Minister decided to quit himself after the photographs went viral.
However, just an hour before the resignation, the “tainted” minister Milind Naik had issued a statement stating he was nowhere involved in any sex scandal.
He maintained that he was innocent “The allegations made by the Congress leaders are false and only to defame me. My photos, audio and video broadcast by Congress is also false.”

After almost 15 days, the Minister allegedly involved in the sex scandal has finally resigned from his position for a “free and fair” probe into the allegations.
The credit of the entire issue goes to Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Girish Chodankar and Vice President Sankalp Amonkar, who withstood the vindictive politics played by the people at the helm.
Those in power tried their best to push the allegations of sex scandal under the carpet by filing complaints in Bihar and Mormugao, but kudos to Amonkar and Chodankar for standing strong and releasing the explicit Whatsapp chats and photographs to media.

He maintained that he was innocent “The allegations made by the Congress leaders are false and only to defame me. My photos, audio and video broadcast by Congress is also false.”
The Minister’s statement itself proves that there was no intention to quit. Only after the BJP top leaders and CM put pressure, Milind Naik tender his resignation.
Looking at the photos, audios, and chats, one feels that until Milind Naik comes clean on the whole issue, he has no right to claim the BJP ticket in the forthcoming elections.
Of Course, if the BJP somehow gives him the ticket, then the saffron party will have to face the music in all 40 constituencies.
So basically, one can say that by getting involved in the shameful act, Milind Naik has not only lost his ministry but also the BJP ticket for the forthcoming polls.
It is now up to the police to probe the matter at the earliest and file a charge sheet to give the politician an exemplary punishment.
Also, the Chief Minister has to make sure that the politicians do not get any remuneration and pension from the Goa legislative Assembly till he comes clear on the issue.
The act, if true, is shameful, and such politicians have no right to rule Goa.
The BJP has to give the Minister exemplary stringent punishment simply because Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives a call for “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, but his own party minister is involved in atrocities on “Beti”.
Now, if Sankalp Amonkar and Girish Chodankar had made the photos and Whatsapp chats public one wonders whether the charge made that the CM Sawant has also seen the clips is also true?
The question now arises is whether the Chief Minister knew of the whole issue and still protected his cabinet minister? If that is so than the CM also has to be penalised.
