PANAJI: Chairman, Goa Khadi& Village Industries Board Shri. Antonio Vas inaugurated three days exhibition and sale of Khadi & Village Industries products at Central Library, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto Panaji today.
The exhibition showcasing various Khadi and Industries products has been organized by Goa Khadi & Village Industries Board in association with Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC) as part of Independence Day celebration in the State.
Antonio Vas speaking on the occasion urged local artisans and rural entrepreneurs to avail the various facilities and subsidies extended by the Goa Khadi& Village Board to local artisans and entrepreneurs for promoting their products. He appealed to the people to visit the exhibition in large numbers and make purchases so that rural artisans and entrepreneurs will benefit.
Vas said that, Khadi and Village industries can significantly provide various types of employment to the rural people thereby making the youths financially independent. It is high time that, youth community should venture into village industries with innovative ideas which could boost rural economy.
Vice Chairman, of KVIB Shri.Sarvanand Bhagat appreciated efforts initiated by the Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi towards promotion of Khadi industries and employment generation. He also expressed that people should use khadi products as far as possible which would help to rejuvenate rural economy and benefit the environment at large.
The exhibition has 20% discount on Khadi products and will be held till August 14, 2024 from 10 am to 7 pm.
