MAPUSA: JMFC Mapusa has granted bail to mastermind in land grab case Mohammed Suhail.
The accused has been asked to furnish a surety of Rs: 30,000 along with reporting at SIT Crime Branch.
Mohammad Sohail Safi is one of the main accused who was arrested in connection with the Assagao illegal land-grabbing case.
The accused used to identify the land and approach the other party with the land transfer/selling proposal.
Sohail enjoyed support from some officials in related departments that ensured his criminal actions were executed without obstacles.
Sources said that Sohail replaced the original documents from confidential records in the Department of Archives with forged papers.
