PONDA: The Locals at Undir, Bandora, and Kavlem Donkhamb blamed officials for unplanned road digging work for laying underground 11 kV of electricity cabling work.
Underground power cabling causes massive traffic jams on Kavlem– Talavalim road. Locals demand expedited work.
The locals said it’s more than a week since the workers had dug the road, but cables need to be laid. The work is progressing slowly. The road is narrowed due to digging. The locals had blamed officials for unplanned digging for underground cabling damages, which not only causes traffic jams but also dust pollution.
Earlier road digging had damaged water pipelines at Bandora, Kavlem.
Now that problem has been solved the slow progressing work has led to traffic jams on this road especially during rush hours for a long time.
The road size has been narrowed, and difficult for trucks and buses to give side to each other due to road digging. The locals said more JCB Machines be used for road digging so that it would become easy for workers to lay cables at the earliest.
