PONDA: Ponda Police have registered a case against a man accused of assaulting another person with a metal rod following an argument over vehicle parking near a shop in Ponda.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by Martin Estiber, a resident of Ponda, who stated that the incident occurred on 19 May 2026 at around 4 PM.
As per the complaint, the accused identified as Sankalp Naik allegedly abused the complainant in filthy language before assaulting him with a metal rod. The complainant sustained injuries to his right leg and the backside of his head, resulting in serious bleeding injuries.
Police further stated that the accused allegedly damaged the complainant’s car and threatened him with dire consequences over the issue of parking the vehicle near the accused’s shop.
A case has been registered at Ponda Police Station and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Chetan Naik.
