MARGAO: Maina Curtorim Police have registered an offence against a man for allegedly assaulting an elderly person and damaging property in Loutolim.
According to a complaint filed by Sebastian Gomes, a resident of Vanxem, Loutolim, the incident occurred on April 21, 2025, at around 11:39 AM at Angdi, Loutolim. The accused, identified as Sebastiao Agnel Gomes alias Babush, a resident of Sonarbhat, Loutolim, allegedly assaulted the complainant’s father, Caetano Philip Gomes, using a wooden danda, causing injuries to his head and hand.
The accused is also alleged to have assaulted the complainant’s aunt, Lourenca Nora Gomes, during the incident.
Further, he reportedly damaged CCTV cameras installed at her residence, resulting in a loss of approximately ₹20,000.
Police said an offence has been registered, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ashutosh Naik of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
