VASCO: A man from Vasco has been booked for allegedly assaulting another person with a knife following an altercation outside a restaurant in Vasco.
According to police, complainant Amir Naik, a resident of Vasco, stated that the incident took place on July 16, 2023, at around 7 pm outside Friends Corner Restaurant.
Police said the accused, identified as Pritam Naik of Vasco, allegedly abused the complainant in filthy language and pushed him during the argument. When the complainant’s friend, Vithal Naik, intervened and questioned the accused over his behaviour, the accused allegedly turned violent and attacked Amir Naik with a knife.
The assault reportedly caused injuries to the complainant’s cheek and other parts of the body. During the intervention, Vithal Naik also sustained injuries to his right hand.
Further investigation in the case is being carried out by PSI David Costa of Vasco Police Station.
