PANAJI: An individual has been charged for cheating Goan taxi operators by posing as a Security In-charge at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Shirang Manesh Javal has been recognized as the accused.
“It has been three days since we filed the complaint,” one cab driver told reporters.
“We told the Police Inspector as well. The individual even tried to discredit the Prime Minister himself while claiming to be the PMO’s security chief. We have asked the Police Inspector to act immediately and have supplied his phone number in our complaint,’ they said
According to another taxi driver, the accused had driven him to Cavelossim on the guise of a hotel rendezvous, but after they got there, he vanished inside the establishment.
