PERNEM:
Following the delay in repairing of roads by the Public Works Department, the Mandrem locals took it on themselves to repair the potholes in the village.
The roads in various places of Goa, have been washed away due to torrential rains.
A similar case has happened in Mandrem as the road from Deol Wada Mandrem to Dandos Wada, Mandrem had become dangerous to commute while the PWD turned a blind eye.
However, without expecting any help from the PWD or the Government, the office bearers of Gangaldev Devasthan at Bidru Bagh Mandre and the villagers took the initiative to repair the road and fill the potholes at their own expense.
