After several appeals to the COVID19 cured people to donate plasma, the State government has taken an initiative to move into the containment zone and arrange plasma donation camps.
One such camp were held today at the Mangor Hill by the Goa Medical College blood bank in venture with the United Citizens of Mangor.
Constable Rathore, whose family was first to get COVID19, became the first donor at the camp.
He urged the other cured people to donate their plasma and become the saviours.
“I have donated my plasma as I feel duty bound to help others recover from this virus,” he said after the donation.
Saifullah Khan played a crucial role in organising the camp.
He said that around 35 people from containment zone had already donated their plasma.
“People can donate plasma only after 15 days of recovery and that is why we are not getting many donors,” he said.
