MARGAO: In a novel and unique mode of criticizing the BJP government and hitting out at the Defector MLA of Margao Digamber Kamat, the Margao Congress Block led by Savio Coutinho held a dharna infront of Margao Municipal Council building holding posters of the 15 lakhs dream given to all by the BJP 11 years ago in 2013.
The dharna which sarcastically hit out at Margao MLA saw poster’s which read “For 9 years you demanded that the BJP should deposit 15 lakhs as promised by Modiji. Now that you are with BJP please get the 15 lakhs for Madgaonkars soon”.
Adv. Snehal Onskar, Radha Kavlekar, Lincoln Gomes, Aziz Shah, Robert Vaz, Camilo Camara, Iftiyaz Sayed, Damodar Onskar, Mario Vaz, Mathin Karol and other’s participated in the dharna.
Speaking to media Mr Coutinho said that while we want to make it known to be people how they are being fooled into believing false assurances, we also wish to highlight how our Margao MLA had been condemning the BJP as he was enjoying benefits from the Congress, and now after his Defection into the BJP for his own selfish reasons, he is heard of singing praises for the BJP.
Mr. Coutinho further stated that the BJP has already been shown during the lok sabha elections, how much support and command the Margao MLA holds in Margao and South Goa. With his induction into the ministry, the BJP would be driving the last nail into their coffin, and will face the wrath of Goans in 2027.
