Massive fire reported at Taleigao fields; reason of fire unknown

TALEIGAO: Massive fire was reported in the fields at Taleigao. The reason for the fire is unknown.
“The Fire Control Room received two emergency calls at 1.50 pm and later informing about huge flames at the fields,” informed sources.
The fire incidents were reported in the field, opposite Models Housing complex. Somebody had set fire to the dry grass. Two fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames.
Locals said the entire road was filled with smoke, and incoming and outgoing vehicles were not visible.
“The fire spread quickly due to the dry grass and harsh sunlight. The fire tenders were pressed into action to douse the fire,” they said

The Fire officials said that they would ascertain the cause of the fire.
