Panjim: Goa State Council for Science and Technology, Saligao, being nodal agency for undertaking Geographical indication (GI) registration for the State of Goa is presently working on Goan sausages ( Choris ) and thus initiating a procedure to bring all the stakeholders on a single platform by proposing a Goa Choris producers association.
This will further help to standarize the process of choris making and prepare a plan of action for branding Choris with GI tag, upon receipt of it.
All Choris producers across the State are requested to paricipate in the meeting schedule on November 06, 2024 at mini- conference hall, Menezes Braganza, near Police head quarter, Panaji from 3.00 pm onwards to discuss on the formation of producers association and elect a managing committee.
