CANACONA: The Thirty-Sixth All Religion Prayer Meet with a theme of ‘United in God’s Love’ participated and prayed by various religious representatives is held in Canacona.
The unique and one of its kind prayer meet held every year on 2nd Sunday of December month in its 36th Year held its 40th Prayer’s Meet at Shree Dilip Gaitonde Mini-Sports Complex, participated and prayed by various and diverse sections of religion representatives across the Country and Globe.
“Pormeshvorachea Mogan Ami Ek’ (United in God’s Love) , prayers were held by different religious leaders to ‘Lead us from Darkness unto light’ with a prayerful devotion for World Humanism Prayer and Message across the Nation and the World.
Unity (ekta) Peace(Shanti), Humanism (Manavta) and Religion (Dharm) had to go hand-in-hand to create Unity in Diversity, Unity World peace, , Humanism World Religion, and Unity in Integrity to bind the Prithvi (World) together.
Religious preachers who prayed for a country in diversity and for world peace also gave Holy Blessings to the participants.
Earlier a procession was taken from KTC Bus Stand to the Venue at Shri Gaitonde Mini-Sports Complex, alongwith religious representatives, and school students of various schools of Canacona.
A traditional Lamp was lit by all the present religious representatives and leaders, while a Welcome prayer song was presented by students of Shree Mallikarjun Vidyalaya, Char-rasta.
Vividha Institute, principal and founder-Convener of the All Religious Prayer Meet welcomed, while Valerian Viegas explained the reason and purpose of the Prayer Meet and its significance in the present situation and world vision.,
Prarthona in Gayans (Hymns, Prayer and Devotional Songs) were presented by Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, St. Francis Xavier High School Bhatpal, a Prayer Dance by St. Sebastian H/S, Loliem and also played a Band,
