PANAJI: Progressive River Authority for Welfare and Harmony, or Mhadei PRAWAH, is expected to convene for the third time in the State on October 25.
Last month, New Delhi was the original location for the summit. Furthermore, there is a request from Goa for a second site assessment of the Kalasa diversion project at Kankumbi, Karnataka.
To carry out the decision made by the Inter-State Mhadei Water Disputes Tribunal, the Central Government established the Mhadei PRAWAH, or Mhadei Water Management Authority, on May 22, 2023. Its main office is in Goa.
The Mhadei river basin was inspected by the PRAWAH team, which was headed by P M Scot, in July of this year. The team was touring the three riparian states of Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
