CUNCOLIM: Police at Cuncolim have registered a kidnapping case following a complaint filed by the mother of a minor girl whose name has been withheld.
According to police sources, the complainant, a resident of Cuncolim originally from Chhattisgarh, reported that on February 28 at around 10 pm, the accused, identified as Edwin Ronata, a resident of Taleigao–Caranzalem originally from Karnataka, allegedly kidnapped her minor daughter from her lawful guardianship within the jurisdiction of Cuncolim Police Station.
Based on the complaint, police have registered an offence against the accused under relevant sections pertaining to kidnapping of a minor.
Further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Riyanka Naik of Cuncolim Police Station.
