QUEPEM: The state government, in its circular, has mentioned that school uniforms are not compulsory. Some schools in Quepem taluka, like Don Bosco high school, made their class schedule more comfortable for parents and students, stabilising the situation.
In some schools arrangements of three days a week that’s Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 to 11 am has been made.
But looking at the overall situation, parents are in favour of starting physical schools; also, children are very happy to once again attend school.
P.T.A. president from Sarvodaya high school, Rupesh Ratnakar Naik, said that the government took the right decision to start school. Due to Covid 19 situation, the students very much lost touch with studies, showed a lack of interest in studies and did not maintain discipline.
Further, he said if we are taking part in every celebration like marriage festivals, then why restrictions on the schools? So considering all facts, we should support the reopening of schools, Naik said.
Alexy Fernandes, another parent of a student, said that starting school is a good decision.
“…but same time keeping in mind the past situation ofCovid 19, we need to be careful about the primary school section because these students don’t understand about S.O.P., so for that proper planning and guidelines are important,” Fernandes said.
