VASCO: In a significant step toward enhancing the power infrastructure in Vasco, MLA Krishna Salkar inaugurated a newly upgraded 200 KVA transformer on Monday. The inauguration was attended by Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson Girish Borkar, Ward Councillor Shami Salkar, and Councillor Deepak Naik. This new transformer installation is part of a broader project that has seen 22 transformers upgraded across the city, aiming to improve power supply quality for Vasco residents.
Speaking at the event, MLA Salkar highlighted the importance of this initiative for Vasco’s power reliability, particularly in areas that frequently experience power cuts and voltage fluctuations. “This upgraded transformer will play a critical role in stabilizing the power supply for residents in Vasco, ensuring fewer disruptions and consistent voltage,” said Salkar.
The enhanced power infrastructure is expected to address ongoing issues with power fluctuations and will contribute to reducing frequent power outages in Vasco’s wards. Councillor Shami Salkar expressed optimism that these improvements would provide residents with a more dependable power supply, thereby benefiting both homes and businesses in the area.
