VASCO: Mormugao municipal council decides to undertake the digitalisation of the important office documents from the Mormugao municipality.
For the last few days, personnel from Goa Electronics Limited (GEL) have been deployed to undertake the scanning of all the essential documents and make a digital copy of these documents for cloud storage.
Mormugao municipal council chairperson Damodar Kaskar informed that this decision was taken during the council meeting a few days ago since the renovation work of the municipality building is in progress.
He said he was seated outside his cabin due to the roof leakage issue. Kaskar added that the GEL personnel had been given daily Target to undertake digitalisation of the documents, which the person has been doing for the last few days.
When questioned about how this digitalisation will help them, Kaskar said that before, the municipality staff found it challenging to search for specific files, and it was time-consuming. But after the digitalisation of the documents, it will be easier to identify and locate any document.
