MOPA: Goa’s Manohar International Airport at Mopa has accumulated losses of nearly ₹777 crore since the commencement of operations, according to financial figures reported by operator GMR Goa International Airport Limited (GGIAL).
The airport recorded a loss of ₹148.3 crore during the financial year 2022-23, which increased sharply to ₹363.3 crore in 2023-24. In FY2024-25, the airport incurred an additional loss of ₹266 crore, taking the cumulative losses to around ₹777 crore since its inauguration.
Financial data further revealed that the airport reported a loss of ₹63.3 crore during the fourth quarter of FY2025-26.
The total loss for FY2025-26 has reportedly reached ₹331.2 crore, indicating continued financial pressure despite rising passenger traffic and expanding flight operations at the greenfield airport.
