CANACONA: The semi-final line-up is drawn at the IX Shubham Naik Memorial InterSchool Cricket Tournament with Nirankar H/S Tudal set to clash with Shradhanand V, Poinguinim, and Damodar Vidyalaya, Loliem will clash with Govt. H/s. Cotigao.
In association with Mandovi Parivar, organised by Canacona Sports Academy, in the quarter-final clashes, Tudal HS defeated St. Anne’s Agonda by 8 wickets, while Damodar Vidyalaya, Loliem crushed Nirankar Vidyalaya, Maxem by 4 wickets.
In the Nirakar Hs Vs Damodar HS match, Damodar HS won the toss and put Nirakar to bat. With the main contribution from Abhishek 14(14), Soham 8(2), Vitesh 6(5) and Dearikesh 9(11), Nirakar
Nirakar scored 52/7 in 10 overs. In reply, Damodar HS scored 53/3 in only 5 overs with scores from Akshay 18(8), Ajay 7(8) and Manish 6(2) and won the match by 7 wickets.
In the other quarter-final match, Shradhanand Vidyalaya got the better of Government H/S, Sadolxem, by 80 runs while Govt. H/S Cotigao outwitted Shree Mallikarjun H/S by 10 runs.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Shraddhanand HS scored 141/1 in 10 overs with sordid scores from Sushil 60(26) and Nishad 45(23).
In reply, Sadolxem Govt HS (Bowling) were bundled out for 94 in 9.5 overs. The only contribution were from Manthan 33(17), Yash 12(6) and Saurabh 12(7). Shradhanand HS Won By 47 runs.
In the Semis, Tudal H/s will clash with Shradhanand Vidyalaya, while Damodar Vidyalaya will clash with Govt. H/s. Cotigao in the semifinals of the IX Shubham Naik Memorial Interschool, Cricket tournament organised by Canacona Sports Academy, in association with Mandovi Parivar, Paingin. Altogether 12 teams participated in the tournament.
