PORVORIM: Minister for New and Renewable Energy Sudin Dhavalikar today informed the house that there is no specific plan to promote Solar Lighting.
“There is no specific plan to promote Solar Lighting; no consultant is appointed to carry out the work phase-wise,” said Dhavalikar.
He further said that Goa Energy Development Agency has empanelled 70 nos of vendors for installing solar panels on a residential rooftop.
“The Average cost for installation of solar panel on the residential roof is Rs. 50,885/- per KW,” he added.
Dhavalikar said that there no particular time frame has been set to complete 25% of houses in Government Offices under Solar Renewable Energy.
