PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has informed that priority group for vaccination for parents of kids 2 years of age, has now been increased to parents of kids upto 5 years of age
“From today priority group for vaccination for parents of kids 2 years of age, has now been increased to parents of kids upto 5 years of age,” said CM
He further said that government have opened up vaccination for 18-44 years with focus on priority group. However, on the first day, I saw only 1800 lactating mothers cum parents getting vaccinated.
“That is the reason what we decided to cover even parents with kids below 5 years. Earlier it was 2 years. We want everyone to take the benefit,” he said.
The state administration declared certain categories of individuals in the 18-44 age interval, as priority groups for vaccination. These included lactating mothers, parents of a child under two years, differently-abled individuals, auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers, seafarers and citizens dealing with comorbidities.
