PANAJI: NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) has announced plans to set up a 300 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Goa, inviting bids for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package that also includes land acquisition.
According to the tender, the selected contractor will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the project — from design, engineering, manufacturing and supply to packing, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar PV plant. The scope also covers the supply of solar PV modules.
In addition, the EPC contractor will be tasked with the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the facility, including upkeep of electrical equipment, provision of consumables and spare parts, for three years after the plant is fully commissioned.
The project is part of NTPC REL’s push to expand renewable energy capacity in the country and support the transition to clean power.
