OLD GOA: Goa Police has arrested Dr. V. Doshi, a DNB student attached to Healthway Hospital, on charges of outraging the modesty of a Spanish woman admitted to the ICU. The alleged incident took place on August 31.
Healthway Hospital, in a statement, said that the moment the complaint was received, Dr. Doshi was immediately suspended from all active duties pending the outcome of the police investigation.
The hospital further assured that the patient has been extended full cooperation in filing her police complaint.
The Spanish national continues to receive treatment at the hospital, which has pledged continued moral and logistical support during her recovery and legal ordeal.
