MARDOL: Mardol Police in a narcotic had arrested St Estevem resident for being in possession of ganja worth Rs 26,400.
As per information, Mardol Police acting on prior information conducted a narcotic raid opposite Government College Khandola Marcel-Goa and arrested the accused person namely Malcolm D’Souza s/o Francis D’Souza, age 32 years r/o Forowado, St. Estevem.
The accused was caught red-handed for being found in his possession of dry greenish colour leafy and flowery substances with seeds and stalks, suspected to be narcotic drugs known as Ganja, weighing 264 grams, worth Rs.26,400/-, approximately in the international market.
The drugs have been attached under search and seizure panchanama. The accused is placed under arrest and produced before JMFC Ponda and remanded to 2 days of Police Custody(.) I.O. PSI Vinod Salunkhe of Mardol P.S.
