MAPUSA: Saligao MLA Kedar Naik said that most of the open spaces located in Pilerne village will be developed into recreational zones for the benefit of the people.
He added that development is possible only with the cooperation of the ZP members panchayat and the MLA.
Naik spoke to reporters after inaugurating the works of the improvement and hot mixing of a 3KM stretch road in ward no 4 at Goan paradise colony alto Saulem, Pilerne. The works have been undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs.1 crore. Besides Naik, also present were ZP, Sandeep Bandodkar, Sarpanch of Pilerne Panchayat, Smt. Reshma Bandodkar, Dy. Sarpanch, Ajay Govekar and others.
“We have started the works of doing the hot mixing of most of the roads in Saligao constituency, which were in a dilapidated condition, and I would like to thank the PWD minister and chief minister and also the PWD engineer for lending us their support and getting the works sanctioned,” said Kedar naik and also thanked the Pilerne sarpanch and ZP member.
“It was a long pending demand that this road had to be hot mixed as it was in a dilapidated condition, and the people were demanding that the road had hot mixed so and we approached the PWD department and the minister to get the works sanctioned and so we are now successful in starting the works” naik further said
“This was a long pending demand, and even when I was the sarpanch, the people had been demanding that the hot mixture of this road had to be taken up, and our MLA went into the the details of this road and did a follow-up with the concerned departments and the minister and the works have finally commenced,” said sarpanch Sandeep Bandokar adding that the MLA has undertaken a lot of other development works and the works will be completed on time he also expressed his gratitude to the AE and JE for supporting the panchayat and initiating this work.
